NOTES..
  • The Torque Values are approved for Spiral Wound Graphite and PTFE Filled Gaskets, and the initial thickness of the spiral wound seal is about 4.5mm, and is compressed to about 3.2mm
  • Bolting torque to develop 50% Bolt Yield Stress at Nut Factor, K=0.16
  • Listed values apply to Never-Seize paste and Fel-Pro lubricant, K=0.16
  • Listed values apply only to ASTM A193 Grade B7 and A193 Grade B16 Stud Bolts
  • The Final Torque Value accounts for 10% bolt relaxation
  • Listed values do not apply to stud bolts and nuts with PTFE or other coatings

CAUTION: Care should be used when applying a formula for torque/tension relationships. Torque is only an indirect indication of tension. Under/over tightening of fasteners can result in costly equipment failure and/or personal injury.
