DENSO and Pipelines
DENSO is the specialist for passive corrosion protection and repair systems that extend the service life of pipelines. The range of services extends from weld seam coatings for newly laid pipelines to complete pipe coatings.
DENSO - reliable protection for pipelines
Almost a century ago, DENSO developed the world's first reliable passive corrosion protection for pipelines: DENSO's petrolatum bandage quickly became synonymous with it.
Rehabilitation of existing pipelines or new pipeline sections as well as repair systems to restore pipeline integrity are certified system solutions.
Some products of DENSO
With SEALID® All-in-1 Tape(one wrapping process), the pipeline is protected against corrosive and mechanical stress for the first time in just one step and with just one product. It is particularly easy to apply by hand without any complex preparation, primer and additional protection or equipment.
DEXPAND® pipeline repair systems restore damaged pipes to their original structural integrity or repair damage to the factory-applied corrosion protection that occurred during transport, storage and installation of the pipe. This significantly extends the service life of the pipeline. The repair can be carried out during ongoing operation, so that no time-consuming line interruptions are necessary.
VivaxCoat® is applied directly to damp pipes and pipelines that are covered with a film of water (e.g. condensation) due to high humidity. The coating can be applied while the pipes are under load, eliminating costly waiting times for pipe breaks.
The high-performance DENSOLID® polyurethane coatings offer ideal protection for pipes and components laid underground as brush and spray coatings. In trenchless installation, DENSOLID® products are advantageous for the subsequent coating of weld seams as they have high abrasion and shear resistance.

Remark(s) of the Author...
Many years ago, I applied grease tape from DENSO to a underground pipeline. That stuff stuck like crazy and my gloves and work clothes were completely covered.
But when it was finished, I had done a good job, because the protection of the pipeline more than held its promise for years afterwards. Coincidentally, I was able to observe this myself years later.
I wrote this short article based on my own experiences with DENSO tape, and the fact that DENSO products are used in many places today and are very popular.
